Alleluia Cafe, St Kevins arcade, K-rd

whatup krasivaya zhenshiny! long time no post soz, ive just been busy leveling up my shit on Modern Warfare 2. MY FRIEND SAM, greg and I went to alleluia cafe in st kevins arcade. i cant remember why we went there in particular.

Alleluia Mochaccino

* Appearance

sorry but these appearance explanations must be also getting pretty generic, but this was served in a fairly generic manner. the colouring gave it an "old school" feel though? maybe?

* Flavour

This was a pretty moinly flavoured mocha, it had a perfect mix of chocolate and coffee (although greg said he couldnt taste coffee? he has been drinking straight coffees lately though so maybe he has been desensitized). it wasnt too milky.

* Temperature

I cant remember this! lets just say it was good okay.

* Foam Ratio

now this is what let the thingee down, there was too much foam, it took up quite a bit of the cup. which cut down on the actual drink level in the cup.

* Marshmallow

Zilch

Conclusion,

this was a nice mocha, very fine tasting. full bodied. well made. it was like some sort of European car, but probably not a VW, Fiat, or Citron.

Kokako, Parnell Rd

YO this week we doing something a little different. a summer time edition!
The Gregor and i got some Iced mochas from Kokako, a cafe recommended by our main man Richie 'BOOM' Hardcore. This was made upon the fact that Kokako use Organic Fair Trade coffee

Cant really review them in the normal fashion either, so just gonna do it howevs.

FIRST OF ALL, it was served in a Jar mug thing. which was pretty cool. Mocha-drinkers are generally looked upon by non-mocha-drinkers as being some sort of underclass of coffee drinkers, which is unfair, its the same thing you fucks, but just with some chocolate. If you dont like chocolate then youre probably racist... but i digress

my original point was that it was a fairly manly (apparently in my mind men drink out of jars?) way to serve it.

it was a nicely mixed drink, it was a fine slurry of ice and mocha, wasnt any big chunks or anything. twas good.

* Flavour

It was a strong drink, but had a lack of chocolate. Not really a big deal, it was just a bit bitter without it.

Greg said: "the only thing better than the drink was the view"

One of the best things about it was the size of the drink, it was pretty big.

This is probably the worst review yet.

my bad

Santos, Ponsonby Rd

Yo whatsup Gringos! long time no blog sorry, to start this off, i would like to post a link to the blogs official (not actually official, please dont tell SM entertainment, or LG) song (yes im aware that its actually an ad for a cellphone, but fits our love for chocolate in our coffees too sooo shamous)

But lets get down to bidness

Santos Mochaccino

* Appearance

Standardo appearance. glass glass, powdery topping.

* Flavour

This was a very nice mochaccino, smooth, rich, nice looking... kinda like me (zing). Nah but for real, this mocha was smooth as hell, so nicely mixed, it went down smooth, as was demonstrated by this having no darker glugy chocolate at the bottom of the glass. Greg agreed on this point. It was very nice strong coffee (santos have their own beans), and had pronounced sweetness from the chocolate.

* Temperature

Perfecto tempterature.

* Foam ratio

i think this was the nicest foam we have had yet, it was so smooth. man this coffee was smooth, if it was a man it would definitely be named Ricardo. it was about 7mm thick.

* Marshmallow

No marshmallow with this, didnt really need it, the coffee was sweat enough.

Conclusioni, this was a fine mocha, it did have one MAJOR downfall, and that was in that it was tiny!!!!!!!!!!! i had approx 5 sips of it and it was gone. other than that it was a good one.

cost: it was something like $4.40. bit too expensive for the size.

RATING: 7/10
